What To Expect
What Should You Expect When You Visit University Park Church?
A Warm Welcome!
First, you should expect us to be friendly and greet you. We are a warm, loving people. We are glad that you are interested in learning more about us and what we are about.
Second, you will find that people dress modestly ranging from suits to jeans and khakis. We are not very interested in how you are dressed, but we do ask that you dress modestly. We care about you, not your clothing.
Sunday School/Teaching for the Entire Family
Our Sunday School classes are arranged by age groups and each meets at 9:30 am. Our Sunday School teachers will be happy to have you and your family join classes designed for each age group as we learn together more about God's Word (the Bible) and growing one's relationship with Him.
Beginning January 8, 2017 the worship service starts at 10:30 am and we meet in the sanctuary which is directly accessed through the main door and its foyer. During the worship service we will sing a mixture of hymns and contemporary Christian songs to facilitate worship and encounter God's presence. We will have a prayer time in which we will thank Him for His love, blessings, and provision for our needs and hurts. We provide an opportunity to praise God and worship Him through giving of tithes and offerings. Before the sermon the children will be dismissed from the sanctuary to attend Children's Church in the Fellowship Hall for an age appropriate lesson and fun activities. In the sanctuary a sermon or message will be shared based on what God has inspired the pastor to share with the church. Afterwards we will have an opportunity to respond during a closing song. We will close the service with a prayer.
